Statutory Prerequisites of Indian Government for HSRP Manufacturers: The Central Government of India, from time to time, by Official Gazette notification had issued the safety standards of any part, component or assembly to be used in the manufacturing of a vehicle. The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), Government of India had defined in Rule 50 & 51 of Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR), 1989 of India to obtain Type Approval Certificate (TAC) from specific Government approved Test Agencies in order to commence the manufacture and supply of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) in India. FTA was granted Type Approval Certificate (TAC) on the 5th of November 2012 by the CSIR - Central road Research Institute, New Delhi.
